Jan 2024 - Mercy Ships Headquarters USA

We have arrived at Mercy Ships Headquarters in Lindale Texas. Mercy Ships HQ is a large sprawling campus. A lot of smaller buildings. It's cold here in winter - it got down to -11C and snowed. Freezing those of us from sub tropical climates!

We arrived on 1st Jan and were very grateful for two free days to help jet lag (ie being wide awake in middle of night)! It's like the United Nations with 57 volunteers  from all over the world. The key question we ask is -  are you joining the Global Mercy (going to Sierra Leone)  or Africa Mercy (going with us to Madagascar)? If Africa Mercy, they will be our companions for the next two years.
