It took us something like 48 hours to fly from Texas to South Africa.  We were tired but excited to being picked up by a Mercy Ships driver at the airport.

We have a couples cabin with own bathroom, small sitting area and fridge/sink.  Having a group of us from Texas joining the ship at the same time meant we already knew some of the new crew onboard.

The Africa Mercy departed East London (SA) on 25 Jan and is currently underway to Madagascar. We are doing some preparation for our roles starting on 7th Feb. 

We have already had a pirate party and worship on the bow which was great.
