About Us & Contact Details

In January 2024 we joined Mercy Ships for a two year volunteer commitment. We come from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. 

We have been married since 1986 and have four grown up sons. Our youngest moved out of home in 2023. Two of our sons are married and we have four grandchildren. We have two beautiful daughter in laws. 

Jon is a CPA and loves a good spreadsheet. He used to ride red motorbike which he misses (and the motorbike guys he rode with). He likes experimenting with all sorts of electrical circuits and is always happy when he is playing a keyboard and worshipping. Jon creates and produces music which can be found here.

Ruth is a teacher and enjoys kids of all ages. She can ride a motorbike but prefers a good walk or run.  She likes reading, walking on the beach, and spending time with friends and her kids (and grandchildren). When she has some time she loves to draw and be creative.
